Kiss your mum and dad goodnight and head down to the Taproom ‘cos we’re bringing Ghent bands FRANKIE and AFFAIRE to our stage for a fun-filled, theatrical, somewhat deranged (and possibly dangerous) final show of March!

FRANKIE
A band who ignored producing their own music until they built their own record machine in an old Mitsubishi workshop in Brussels, Frankie consists of stubborn individuals who try to work together from time to time.
Half boy band, half mad scientists, the gentlemen released their record ‘Blubber’ via EXAG’ Records last October and tour with it for their The Birthday Boy tour this spring.
Musically Frankie is more majestic than you’d expect. Think not-quite-Queen cabaret, a slightly less silly Monty Python, more Francis Bacon on the plate…fried, crispy, burnt, black… tasty.
Their live shows are dangerous and deranged, their microphones more cracked and dust covered than Dan Melchior, Billy Childish and Ben Wallers combined. Get ready for this one.

AFFAIRE
Belgian duo Affaire delivers an unusual mix of the so-called electronic and rock genres. Throbbing drumcomputers, an array of synthesizers, trotting guitarlines and convulsive vocals make up a hybrid of spiral energy and burning nervousness. Michiel Ritzen and Nick Caers make up a multiple-machines-act delivering an eclectic mix of so-called electronic and rock genres.
For fans of Alan Vega/Suicide, Warmduscher, Talking Heads etc…
