Extra Life a été formé en 2007 par le compositeur, guitariste et chanteur Charlie Looker, alors basé à New York. Aux confins de la noise, du prog, du math rock et de la musique expérimentale, Extra Life est une épopée musicale unique, empruntant les mélismes vocaux aux chants grégoriens et utilisant la destructuration comme fondement rythmique.
