Imane Guemssy,
a virtuoso musician of the Gnaoua tradition, draws on the mystical, spellbinding rhythms of this ancestral Moroccan music. Her mastery of the guembri, the emblematic instrument of Gnaoua music, enables her to transport listeners into deep spiritual landscapes. Through her performances, Imane creates an immersive experience that connects audiences to the cultural and spiritual roots of this tradition, while exploring contemporary sounds that enrich her art. Her exceptional talent and passion for Gnaoua music have made her a key figure on the Moroccan music entailed.
As on their previous release ‘Abandonnée / Maleja’, a double set running to over 80 minutes, Cyril Bondi, Alexis Degrenier and Laurent Peter expand to seven members in total.
