Do you want more info on the beer you are drinking? Transparency in beer labels is a hot topic in the industry and among consumers.
To take the pulse of beer drinkers, the European Beer Consumers Union (EBCU) has launched survey aimed at gathering the insights of beer consumers across Europe.
“Our mission is to better understand what information consumers feel is vital on beer labels,” the EBCU stated. “The data collected will help to shape the way we support industry partners like Brewers of Europe and also aid juridical and political authorities in making informed decisions when creating legislation pertaining to beer labelling.”
The survey is available in 12 languages and takes about five minutes to complete.
It includes questions on where you would like to find information on a beer bottle or can, what information should be included on a label or QR code, and what information should be provided on beers by a pub or restaurant.
“We encourage every beer consumer to have their say – your opinion matters and will contribute to how information is presented on your favourite beers. The survey is anonymous and your responses will be held in strict confidence,” the EBCU stated.
The survey will end after 13 August 2023.
