Paul Herbert, managing director and brewer at UK-based Kent Brewery, in the small town of Birling, describes the innovative beers they bring to the table, including some highly hopped offerings.
Herbert brought to the Leuven Innovation Beer Festival 2019:
- Prohibition, American Pale Ale, 4.8%. highly hopped with some of the latest US hops. Naturally fermented and live in the can.
- Elysium, New England IPA, 5.9%.
- Key Lime Rye, Milkshake IPA, 5.3% includes key limes, lime leaves, lactose, malts and other natural products and botanicals to recreate a Key Lime Pie in a glass.
- Brewers Reserve, Pale With Attitude, 5% served from a cask. Strong hop flavour of citrus and resin.
- Old Jamaica, Toffee Ginger Stout, 5.1%. served from the cask. A sweet English stout based around a traditional Jamaican cake recipe.
