Brewery St. Bernardus opened a rooftop taproom ‘Bar Bernard’ at its location in Watou, Belgium in November. The brewery is one of many that have started expanding. Two years ago the St. Bernardus began construction of a new wing at the brewery and last summer opened a brewery shop. It also plans to open event facilities for bookings. Bar Bernard is now the finishing point for brewery tours and tastings, along with lunch and dinner.
The recipes are created around St. Bernardus beers. The bar seats 120 inside and another 180 on the terrace overlooking hop fields. Open from Wednesday to Sunday, the bar serves beers from St. Bernardus, Brouwerij Kazematten and Bayerische Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan.
