Check out the calendar for your daily dose of beer drinking events. Today, the Spanish beer festival continues in Namur. Yes, Spanish beer at a Belgium Beer Week is welcome. The point is to go out and explore these amazing venues. Lots of places are splashing out with their events for the grand finale of a weekend. In Antwerp, Spéciale Belge Taproom is holding a tap takeover featuring Uncharted Brew Co., Brouwerij Magnus, Gistgeest and De Mortselarij. Dr. Beer is holding a tasting to trick the mind. We had lots of fun doing it last year. Discover 20 taps and beer games at Philly’s Antwerp from 26-29 August. De Koninck Brewery is doing food and drink pairings. The pairings will run from 24-29 August. Barrel aged beers are in the spotlight at Café Pardaf from 24/08 to Sunday 29/08. Check out the tasty list! Try a cured sausage or sandwich with head cheese while shopping for old and rare beer glasses at Paters Vaetje. Check out Papa Jos, which is hosting secret draft beer tastings and price reductions during the week as is Muziek cafe Plansjee, which is pairing Orval cheese with La Chouffe, along with other promotions. Meanwhile Trappist cheese and Orval aged for 3+ years is on offer by Café Mombasa. Ben at Beerlovers Bar just might have some Alvinne left on tap.
In Brussels, have fun in a scavenger hunt game hosted by Beer My Guest. Liselot of BeerSecret is hosting visits to L’Annexe and No Science, which Max is throwing a party to celebrate five years of brewing. Nanobrasserie de l’Ermitage is hosting brewery tours. You might find some sours left over from their party last night. Brasserie de la Senne is doing brewery tours and of course have a drink on the terrace. La Source is having a food truck take over. Beergium is featuring Cascade Brewing on tap and a ceviche night on the plate. Malt Attacks is hosting a release of False Negative, a new brew by La Sambre. Brussels Beer Project is getting funky with 8 BBP mixed-fermentation beers on tap at its Dansaert location. La Marlouf, which bills itself as the ‘first Triple Moroccan Beer’ has an event on today at La Luck. Sing and play along with Family Brews (Brussels) as they have an open door for local musicians and singers during the week. Party like its 2021! Otomat is offering a special pizza & beer sharing menu for two. You can taste 3 pizzas paired with three Belgian beers. The Belgian Beers Race team continues to promote the retail release of the game.
In Namur its a mini-festival within Belgium Beer Week! Check out Namur Capitale de la Cerveza, which features beers from 5 Spanish breweries from 27-29 August. Take a guided tour with Hoptimalt in a beery trip around Namur. Try the local beer l’Estamine at Café Le Chapitre, which bills itself as the “only authentic beer bar in Namur near St Aubain church”. There are 50 other beers to enjoy.
In Leuven, Hops N More is hosting a bottle share afternoon and evening. Visit Brouwerij de Coureur, which is doing taproom tastings. Go to the Beer Corner for beer cocktails, and cheese and beer pairings all week.
In Ghent, Gent Glas is holding a beer glass sale: craft beer, craft glass. Buy one of their hand blown glasses and they will fill it with craft beer at their excellent bar. Live demos of glass blowing will be going on in front of your eyes while you drink! At Bar Beenhouwer, you can taste the town’s ‘best pate’ in an event labelled as ‘Revenge of Jérôme, Son of Pateekover 2 the Sequel’.
In Zottegem, Bar Toerist is having a beer festival featuring some 70 beers and 7 brewers.
Mechelen joins in the fun today as De Floeren Aap and Beer Rebels host a tap takeover by 18TH Street Brewery.
In Essen, Bar-N is showing you around the beer garden with some exciting beers and games.
In Bruges Bauhaus Bruges is hosting a night of beer pong.
In Gesves, Hepta Brewery is offering a bio beer along with a tour and other promotions.
